Would you vote for an openly atheist president if their political/economic/social views aligned with yours the best?

A pro-life atheist that supports private businesses being able to make their own decisions, even if they are religiously-based? Hmmm...

There is a higher chance they will be pro-life in regards to the death penalty though, so that's good.

Religious beliefs arent important to me so long as they respect freedom of religion and arent advocating theocracy or extreme religious conservatism

Part of my views are to not push ones own religious views on others.

I don't vote based on religious affiliation. Although if the candidate makes their religious beliefs a large part of their campaign I would be less likely to vote for them.

Sure, why not? Easy for me to say because I'm an atheist, but you could replace "atheist" with about any religion and I'd still say the same, assuming there wasn't something deplorable about the person.

I would prefer they be an atheist in first place.

I'd vote for an openly _____ president if their political/economic/social views aligned the best with mine. Unless the _____ was "serial killer" or "robot devil"
