I like the look of the dish on left. What is it called?
One is chicken and noodles made with something called miracle noodles there from a Japanese root. The other is gluten-free minestrone.
Homemade chicken noodle for the win!
These are two of my recent dinners. Both are gluten-free. The noodles are miracle noodles which is actually a Japanese root. Zero carbs and you have to have a whole bunch to get any calories. The other is minestrone. Pasta was added to my husbands.
You know that glucose is a carb and the primary fuel source for the human brain. We need carbs.
The dinners look great!
Low carb not no carb. Thank you.
There's no such thing as an essential carbohydrate. Your body can make enough to use from proteins and fats.
Also, we just discovered those noodles, too! Shiritaki. They're fabulous.
I don't eat animals or animal byproducts. I eat high carb low fat. It's the type of plant food the other great apes eat. Whole plant food carbs are very healthy.
Not if you're diabetic.
I don't eat candy, soda and processed sugar.
That was assumptive. My husband's type one. It runs in his family.
That's a bummer. I did make an assumption. Oops. I can send you a vid on type 1. It's a pretty good video. I hope you like it. youtu.be/0iuwOQ9n_h8
Not for me. I do much better low carb. Have to be gluten free.
This is good. It goes over both type 1 & 2. youtu.be/uSc7OfJUHr0
Thanks lovesquirt. My mom has studied nutrition for a long time. We have tried a lot of different things (we're her Guinea pigs), but like Tops, the most successful has been low carb, plus gluten free for me. And those noodles Tops was talking about are amazing... They're also vegan (well some brands are at least; I can't speak to all). 😊
Always trust your mother. It was interesting researching the topic. I learned a lot. 👏🏻
