of course he did, but apparently he serves society better on a pedestal. willful ignorance for the ppl who care, apathetic ignorance for most of the world, and cynicism for the people who try not to become parapalegics by entitled drivers in the first two categories. c'est la vie.

They have accused him over and over again and tested him thousands of times over the years. Coincidence? No way. Lance is as clean as it gets

@unholybabble DUDE! This guy rides at over 27 mph AVERAGE for 56 miles after swimming about a mile, and then he books it on the half marathon after the bike with about an average of a 6 minute mile. Unless he's on the highway, I think he can keep up with traffic.

I went with yes because it seems impossible to have not done it at some point in his career. Is he still doing it? I don't think so. I think he's probably been clean ever since his bout with cancer gave him a dose of reality.

Lance is a very charitable man and always makes himself available for causes he holds dear. Pure Jealousy

No way this is an international smear job started by a bunch of jealous ex team members and international (mainly French) cycling organizations. Because they could not believe he was so dominant. He tested negative 800+ times and never tested positive for anything on the list.

He took drugs for can Eric treatment that people either confused for performance enhancing drugs or someone jealous tried to convince other people they were performance enhancing.

Over 500 official drug tests and never failed one of them. Does anybody have any idea how much money our government has spent on investigating this?!? More government interference, bureaucracy, regulation and overstepping their intended function.

Yeah, probably, but the dude had cancer so doping would pretty much just be a level playing field

I wouldn't be surprised, but I don't care much one way or the other. I think he's done a lot of good.

No, he tried way too hard and had way to much pride to.

Gatorade is a carcinogen, and Armstog has cancer....hmmmm....

Of course he did -- hence testicular cancer.

Gatorade is a performance enhancer.

@drheadman exactly what i said in a earlier post

@Broadway exactly! He earned every win fair and square.

I don't want to believe he did but generally when there's this much smoke there's at least a little fire somewhere.

how long ago was this? don't the French have anything better to do?

drheadman Nowhere in Particular...

Who cares? He beat the French, what, seven times...in their own country. Take that, France!

06/14/12 10:29 pm

May be when it was mandatory due to his cancer rehabilitation.

What's wrong with people having talent? No one can achieve anything good anymore without people thinking they cheated.

People say yes because of gossip.
I have no respect for you people.

No reason to think he has used drugs. Let it be!

06/14/12 8:28 pm

Not sure - and careful, medical conditions, legal medication and such can lead to false positives.

06/14/12 8:26 pm

I do believe he used them but I think everyone was using them. He didn't have an advantage therefore.

06/14/12 8:19 pm

Based on the number of accusations, I'd say yes. It's too suspicious in my opinion, but hey who am I?

06/14/12 7:52 pm

I think all athletes should. It would be more interesting. And that way the bikes will keep up with traffic.

@dirtymagnum- EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

06/14/12 7:08 pm

maybe he did. more power to him. if professional athletes want to use performance enhancing drugs, they should have that right. their job is to entertain us. I love warching the big homeruns, the hard hit in football.

06/14/12 6:46 pm

He keeps winning against this crap. People are just sore losers and keep accusing him.

prterri
06/14/12 6:14 pm

No! He fought for years to clear his name and never tested positive for anything conclusively! He's one of the few current pro athletes I think is actually as honest and hard working as he claims. If he was ever doping they would have caught him years earlier!

Yes. lol @ all the naive people who thought otherwise and bought into the lie.

The dietary supplements that are approved for use were not available 50+ years ago. I don't see how shaping yourself into a better athlete through supplements is fundamentally different than using drugs or other enhancements (shoes that return more energy, swim suits with less drag, etc.)

SwolePatro Georgia

You are extremely naive if you say he didn't

bigtex777
06/14/12 3:44 pm

He might've used the testosterone but let's not forget he's missing a testicle. I think it's kind of warranted.

@melbart agreed it's a pity that civil conversation is now seemingly a lost art

gjb2779
06/14/12 3:41 pm

Yes, BUT I think his work with Livestrong & cancer research is so significant that I really don't care if he cheated to win the Tour. Plus so many cyclists & tour winners were dopers he was just par for the course. Also who ever cared about The Tour prior to Lance? No one

lmurder MDK
06/14/12 3:08 pm

Yes. Seven straight tour de France's is not humanly possible.

I simply find it unlikely that he was able to accomplish everything he did without the use of a physical stimulant. Hats off to the guy, he certainly has many things to ne proud of.
