TODAY IN HISTORY: April 16, 1987 - The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) sternly warned U.S. radio stations to watch the use of indecent language on the airwaves. Was this a violation of the 1st Amendment?

The supreme court has ruled that obscene speech is not protected under the first amendment. It may not be right, but its the law as it is right now
