Which side of the aisle insults people more: the side you agree with or the side you disagree with?
Look at the religious polls. (One of these days, my dumbass is going to stay out out of them) they're personal attacks period.
Who are they attacking?
Christians attacking atheists, Atheists attacking Christians. ..
It's more like sneer vs attack.
Well ... considering it was a right-winger that shouted out, "You lie!" in the middle of a speech by the sitting Prez to a joint meeting of Congress ... then yep, it's definitely Them that's more rude.
I think the lying is worse, particularly in elected office.
While I agree with your statement, protocol calls for respect between professionals ... especially when they are being broadcast by nation-wide tv stations. An address to Congress is not the right location to present a personal opinion.
No protocol is so paramount that the act of lying to the American people ought to go uninterrupted.
This is to check a hypothesis of mine that people think the other side insults people more. I think this is because people dont insult those who agree with them, so people only see insults from their opponents. If im correct, and people think the other side insults more, i dont know how to prove why people think that. Any ideas on how to prove it would be appreciated.
I think that your hypothesis is right. Just to be clear, do you have the resources to set up experiments to prove it?
