What is worse? Drug abuse or gun violence?
Ask Will Smith.
Drug problem can be fixed over a relatively short time with adequate policy. Guns are linked in many cases to drugs, but it's more of a financial connection. Colorado has the right idea, legalizing weed and funding education
Well, duh. Obviously gun violence is worse since it is being done to someone else, while drug abuse is primarily against yourself. This is not to diminish the effects drug abuse have on other family members.
Affecting your brain with drugs causes you to make insane desicions. So drugs plus a gun would be bad. But wisdom plus gun would be perfectly find.
But that is not what the question was.
Drug addiction affects everyone around the addict... I bundle alcoholism with this. Their parents, siblings, kids, spouses, coworkers, etc. Think about child abuse and domestic violence.
I see a bigger problem with mental illness than guns.
Guns protect people, drugs kill them…
All this coming from a recovering addict/ alcoholic.
