A lot of people that grew up before technology was such a necessity often say that the recent generation are "whiny brats." But isn't it on them for raising that generation?
Sometimes I wish generations that love to complain about millenials would take a hard look at their own kids.
How about a little bit of both?
I think it's a matter of growing up. That takes time and it's not determined by the magical number 18. I don't stereotype people and I know many very responsible young people. The term "whiny brats" spans all generations.
The ideas of not punishing children for misbehaving, not teaching manners, and giving everyone a trophy regardless of if they made any effort to earn one or not didn't work out so well.
People have been insulting the "next generation" since the ages of Herodotus. Get in line.
