Do you believe that it is alright to accuse someone of rape or other sexual misconduct decades after the event, in specific regard to collegiate and professional athletics? Feel free to leave you reasoning in the comments
If someone committed a crime against you, it's okay to accuse them of such even if you didn't initially pursue action against them. But given statutes of limitations, lack of evidence over time, etc. it may be too late to get formal justice.
I have a question for you, and this is because of the recent Peyton manning thing. The lady claimed this in college, nearly twenty uears ago and waited until he was retiring to claim this, is that fair? I am personally torn on it.
And I also like your reasoning. I think it is probably about how I fell
From my understanding she first made this allegation years ago and it has just come back into the public sphere. It may also be that while he was still a professional athlete he had greater protection- the team and the league would attempt to keep such allegations quiet, understandably.
Good points, I just hate thinking that my idol did this, but I think you're right on this.
Yes, it's always horrible to feel let down by someone you admire.
