Do you have (or have you ever had) a loved one who struggles with addiction?
3 siblings out of 5 in my family have struggled with addiction. I'm the youngest and have never had that problem. Probably because I learned what not to do from watching older siblings.
Yes. Majority of my younger siblings are/were drug/alcohol addicts. Sad to drink & drug until you kill your liver & kidneys causing death while they're lol with a beer in hand, syringe in the other. So far 3 have died & 1 remains in denial.
I have a few friends and loved ones who are in recovery, and I attend AA meetings with them every week to be supportive and to understand more fully what they face and struggle with. I have one uncle who died of cirrhosis from his alcoholism, and another uncle who will likely do the same in the next year or so.
I have two family members who have struggled with addiction.
