Do you consider the bible (and other religious works) to be artistic or scientific?

More in depth, I'm asking whether religion is intended to be symbolic art which leads to enlightenment and a way of living or whether it should be taken literally as what it says it means, exactly as the absolute truth (facts). I feel personally that it is based on scientific knowledge of astrology and somewhat of a foundation of morality but used in organized religion to control people.. It becomes occult and brainwashing when someone takes on the roll of "God" and makes people follow his/her word in that way.

Factual with narratives to explain events.

They were accepted as truth till we grew up,
we may find out truths when we mature.

There's bound to be many true accounts in it, such as "So and so talked to this person", or "This person baked bread", or whatever. Also probably true in regards to naming cities that really existed and the such.

But as for the most important part of the Bible, concerning God and all, it's really not scientific at all when it goes against all modern scientific knowledge.

Talking snakes, a guy living in a giant fish, a boat with two of every animal including dinosaurs, etc...

You'd be amazed by the amount of people who consider it literal and factual. 🙃
