I just saw a sign for TSA PreCheck (which I have) with the tag line "A smarter way." Are they acknowledging that they are a complete waste of government resources and are idiotic for usurping the 4th Amendment millions of times per day?
Don't get me started. Imagine if we ran private enterprise like TSA is run? We'd be out of business. I like reminding snotty TSA agents/border patrol/etc that they work for me. A portion of my paycheck pays their wages, so they need to remember that, and stop the attitude. Watching scores of them stand around boils my blood.
Yes, and like dummies we unionized them
"We" don't "unionize" them. They organize on their own.
Yep. The PreCheck method of just going through the metal detector rather than the porn scanner is much faster, less invasive, less physically harmful, and more thorough.
Coming to Reno on Monday, I lit up a TSA agent for wanting to go through my laptop bag because "there is a lot of electronics in there." I told him that I had paid my $85 tax to get a portion of my 4th Amendment rights back. Trying to get snooty, he said "well sir, if you'd like to exit the checkpoint and not fly today, that's fine with me." I told him that he didn't know shit about antiterrorism and that his agency is a complete waste of government resources and violates our Founding principles. I concluded by asking if my PreCheck status no longer meant my laptop needed to stay in my bag, to which he replied that I was still allowed to keep it in there. I thanked him and took my bag. The TSA is a joke and needs to be disbanded. "He who would give up essential Liberty in order to purchase a little temporary safety deserves neither liberty nor safety." If United, Delta, and Southwest make it their policy that we can't fly on their airline without first being screened, that's perfectly
screened, that's fine. They're a private company and can do as they wish. The government has no right to screen me, search me, or my bags without a warrant signed by a judge issued only upon probable cause.
