Scenario: You see an elderly man slowly crossing the street. You could either help him out with his bags or sit in your car and complain about how long he's taking. What do you do? (Be honest.)

Let's be honest. No one is getting out of their car

Since I'm usually a pedestrian (I don't drive, but I walk a lot), I'd be happy to help them. I'd like to think that if I were sitting in a *parked* car, I'd also get out. It doesn't make a lot of sense if you're sitting in a car in traffic, though, unless it's really an emergency or the person is in a hazardous situation.

I wouldn't get out and help, but I wouldn't complain, either. I'd just wait until he passes.

Neither, just wait. I'm not the impatient type.

Wait. You're in the car at a light and waiting for the pedestrian? Don't get out of the car because you'll hold up traffic in trying to do the right thing. Unless the guy is seriously having troubles - a bag splits open and the stuff spills in the street or something - it will take longer for you to help him and get yourself back in the car and buckled up than it will for him to get across. And then it's you that will be holding up traffic for everyone else.

Agreed. Wanted to see if anyone might go way out of their way to do a good deed. I sure wouldn't, ha.

I agree. I said help only because I wouldn't complain either.
