Should kids do daily age appropriate choirs to contribute to the family and start to learn a work ethic or is that cruel?
Yes. I grew up in household that everyone chipped in and helped out. We grumbled as all children do, but it brought us closer together
Your poll made me chuckle. I'm a musician, so I'm all for kids being in choirs. 👍🏻🎤 I'm also for them doing chores. It teaches responsibility and doing something as part of a family group to help care for others.
My kids do chores every single day, multiple times per day (morning chores, after school chores, dinner chores). Even my 2 year old has little chores she can do.
It isn't anything oppressive. If they work hard for about 5-10 minutes they're generally done.
You are a cruel man.
Is it wrong that I make them sing old prison chain gang songs while they work?
No but having them actually in chains is probably wrong.
I like choirs! If the kids have good sing voices, let them at it.
Great post and we should all learn to spell and not trust auto complete.
Lol. Darn autocucumber.
It's good. In my household we always did things as a group effort as opposed to strict assignments and it worked well. We were raised to be compassionate and responsible, so we just naturally helped out with housework and tidied up after ourselves.
