Did you watch the American Idol season & series finale?
It's too bad so many no's it was one of the best seasons and way better than the voice
Stopped watching it a long time ago.
Glorified karaoke? Nah.
So many no's
I think the results of this poll explain why it's the finale.
No. I never watched American Idol PEEIOD.
I did watch the finale, used to watch it in the Paula and Simon seasons.
I lost interest after Sonika was voted off. What a voice she has!
When you look at what this show has done for so many of these kids it's quite amazing. Yes, we've been watching it from the beginning.
They tried to make a cash grab and Obama even talked about it, but Jesus the show has been shit for so long
No they've actually been finished for years and finally just stopped.
It's about time the show ended. Hopefully The Voice is next.
I'm so glad Trent ended up winning. It was so weird that Ryan Seacrest said "for now" when closing the show...
Right? I thought maybe I misheard that.
Rip, stay dead
Good riddance, never return.
I didn't watch any episodes this season but the finale.
I caught the end when I got home from work last night and I watched the special they had on Tuesday night. It was so good! American idol is still the best of the talent-seeking shows. The first of its kind and the best system for finding real talent. And I guess this is an unpopular opinion but I enjoyed it more without Simon Cowell. I hate the egomaniac he turned into.
The current judges were my favorite.
It was so much better than The Voice.
The voice is ok, not great. X Factor was a fail and a testament to the fact that just having Simon on the show isn't everything. Harry Connick jr. Is one of my favorite judges yet. First one to really focus on the musical aspects of the performances.
I'm glad Trent Harmon won. La Porsha was amazing as well. They are both going to make it big like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Kate Hudson.
MacKenzie is already doing really well too.
Uh I got a notification about who won and texted my family members who love the show...turns out they hadn't watched yet 😁
How long did it run?
Missed the WHOLE thing. 👍🏼
I'm not sure I ever made it through a whole episode during the entire run. But I was done with it long ago. If not for a recent poll here about the final episode, I would have bet it went off the air years ago.
I'm pretty sure it was one of shazam's.
Haven't watched since Simon left
Same here. Simon could be counted on to say whatever was on his mind, not sugarcoat every unflattering thing on his mind. Simon was the only judge Idol ever had that wasn't afraid to call a spade a spade but still with enough finesse to do it without using the N word.
I didn't ever watch it.
Of course not.
Nuup. Didn't watch the premier of the show either... Or anything between either.
No, I dint know it was still on ?
That show is still on!!??
Nope! That's the point of this thread! Idol is over, the last show just aired!
I don't think I have ever watched it.
In the 15 years that American Idol's been on the air, I may have watched a cumulative total of 45+ minutes. I didn't even know it was on last night. I'm happy for all those that saw and enjoyed it!
I didn't & honestly don't care. I haven't watched in many seasons!
Ditto. Carrie won the last show that showcased real talent.
I appreciated Taylor Hicks!
Yes, it was a well done show. Lots of talent on display. The only awkward moment to me was when Paula's Abdul, Randy Jackson, and Simon Cowell came on stage. Otherwise, great show!
I guess not. I didn't even know that show's still on.
No. I'm not a fan of bad karaoke singers posing as "artists".
It was thoroughly entertaining and I'm glad I didn't miss it. It was so great to see the people who became successful perform again. The show has been life changing for many especially for Ryan Seacrest who started out at 25 and not is 41 with a net worth of $330 million.
I'm going to say something positive about the show!!
It's great, and I am so happy Trent Harmon won!! He is such a talented singer!!
It's on the DVR for the wife to watch. I quit watching it several years ago, after they spent an entire season talking about how original one contestant, who ended up winning, was. He basically did a Dave Matthews impersonation every
Time he stepped on stage.
Poor show, I remember watching it when I was a little kid, then Americas got talent came on. Good times good times, at least dancing with the stars is still on
It's on DVR. I will be spending the day avoiding all social media and news for fear that I will slip up and find out who won.
I've always hated the show.
Psst... If it's the series finale, it's also that season's finale. That's a bit repetitive and redundant.
And it repeats itself
