Which is of greater importance: ensuring that an animal being raised for food is treated with respect and dignity while alive or ensuring that the animal is killed in a way that minimizes suffering?
Their life will be longer than their death (hopefully, I can't imagine what kind of sick, twisted death would last longer than a lifetime). Make that as nice as you can.
Hardest question ever! I guess quality of life wins but I hate thinking about animals suffering while dying.

I care more that they had a good life while they were alive. It's sickening how some corporations house and treat their livestock. Like they don't have any feelings or intelligence.
