I have a picture of my father as a toddler, stand at the door of a very small, dirt floor cabin in Kansas. He looked poor 😄. Yes, this was in about 1932, but again it's a reference.

That's the thing though. Modern poverty isn't poverty in a human history scale. It's basically inconvenience.

True. If you sat home playing xbox and watching cable tv while smoking cigarettes, getting high, and drinking whisky you were not considered impoverished, now you are.
