My history teacher when I bring up parallels in history to current events: "Current events have no relevance to history." Do you agree?
And now you have seen the ignorance of the liberal professors in schools. It's going to get worse. Thank you for questioning him.
Tell your teacher that those who don't know history are bound to repeat it
They may will be the history our kids and their kids will be taught
Going to school in Texas?
Yes, it seems like the poor child is in one of those GOP states where history is a Bible or a matchbook from a seedy bar.
Actually - NY
It is a shame that a history teacher cannot see a relationship between history and current events. One idea for your button would be to do with VA hospitals, and the lack of care that veterans have been receiving .
No offense but, does she have common sense, or Just the book Common Sense by Thomas Paine.
No offense but your teacher doesn't sound like the brightest person in the world.
Please tell your teacher that the people you asked through a polling app on your phone think he/she has no idea what he/she is talking about.
He/she is not the brightest light bulb in the lamp?...
Agreed. She needs to be schooled on current events it sounds like. And any teacher worth having should know how to make their material relevant to today's generation of students. If you are teaching history one of the best ways to do this is link it to current events, politics, etc. Sheesh!
The only way this can make sense even remotely is if he means that current events don't influence history, but this is self evident.
She doesn't really know current events. So she's afraid of looking like an idiot.
Nailed that $h!+ closed!!!
He/she is a moron. In most of my essays, I'm supposed to relate the topic to some other time in history.
We do that in our essays too, but we're not allowed to talk about current events. Not in class and not in essays.
Of course not. Current events can share similarities with or be caused by historical events.
Mine specifically allocates time to current events. They are absolutely related.
