California Governor, Jerry Brown, said of the minimum wage hike law that he signed, "economically, minimum wages may not make sense". Do you agree?
No sense at all
Minimum wage is price fixing. Period. Ultimately, price fixing always harms the poor more than anyone else.
Economically, minimum wages have always made sense? What is he talking about??
Paul ... reread it. Governor Moonbeam is making a valid point. Minimum wages have NEVER made economic sense. Period.
On this one point the governor is correct.
I'm going to respectfully deny that theory. I read the article. I know what he's trying to say.
Paul ... you can deny the truth all you want, that is your right. However, your denial does nothing to change the fact that even the governor recognizes that minimum wages are bad for the economy!
The Governor could say whatever the hell he wants and every major economist would disagree with that. Of course minimum wage makes sense, almost every country on earth has a minimum wage. All levels of government provide widespread corporate welfare so why not provide some help to low wage workers?
Paul ... except no credible economists believe as you do! Oops!
Really??? You don't think economists support having some sort of minimum wage?
Paul ... you can start here ...
Why don't we actually hear from economists themselves?
Maybe the people of California will write a strongly worded letter to those economists in 5 years when their economy is a disaster.
And now we have it. Your are a certified idiot Governor Brown.
Poli ... Governor Moonbeam has always been an idiot, but on this one point (economic nonsense of minimum wage laws), he's correct.
The idiocy is that he signed the bill just as he said this!
That's what I mean.
