Are you a glass half full or half empty kind of person?
The universe doesn't care about your glass.
Half full. It's the bright side of things
If you said half full you optimistic if you said the glass is half empty your something
Neither. The glass is too big.
The glass is half full. But the content is poison.
Nothing to see here folks. Walk away
Depends what's in the glass.
I'm more of a
The glass is two times larger than it needs to be
Kind of a guy.
Wasn't that Steven Wright? I always use that one. You beat me to it.
Im not sure.
Its kind of an engineering thing.
It surprises a lot of folks.
Neither, it's always full.
Half a glass of water leaves just enough room for whiskey & ice cubes. :-D
It depends on how I'm feeling at the moment. Right now, I'm pretty optimistic. Yesterday, I wasn't.
I'm more of a ---"hey bartender, top me off"--- kind of gal
The glass is as full as it is empty.
Half full and half empty do not matter. I look for the pitcher.
To an engineer, the glass is 100% full. 50% air 50% water.
To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needed to be.
The glass is half full... OF CHAMPAGNE! Wheee! Yay life!
It's all full
1/2 full of water
1/2 full of air.
And the Obamists and his IRSKGB brown shirts are sucking me dry.
If you're pessimistic, you're never disappointed
My argument for being a pessimist: As an optimist, you are positive everything will work out. There are two final emotions, disappointment & as expected.
As a pessimist, you're sure things will not work out well. There are also two final emotions, pleasantly surprised & as expected.
I would rather go through life pleasantly surprised a good amount of time than disappointed.
Depends on the Quality of the Wine! 😛🍷😍
If that is the situation, the glass is twice the size it should be.
I am a, "There is something in the glass" sort of guy.
Is there wine in that glass? Why is it only half full?
It don't matter as all glasses are refillable.
Neither, the glass was obviously the wrong size, so I get another one.
The glass is both half full and half empty.
The glass is completely full (unless it's in a vacuum)
The default state of glasses in general is empty. That is how they are typically manufactured, transported, and stored. So if there is anything in a glass at all, it is an increase from empty. Halfway to the maximum fill line is half full.
The glass is completely full, just not with water
Empty. Not a view I want to have.
Most people say glass full, yet vast majority say there won't be lasting piece on earth. Y'all weird.
Pessimism for the win
I also suspect the worst so when I happens I knew it but if it goes the other way I'm just more happy.
Im in favor of the idea that the glass is 50% bigger than it has to be.
Im more of a "shatter that glass against the wall and walk away" type.
Half full. Stay positive!
It really depends on the situation.
How about for Partially consumed beverages??
A glass in its natural state is just an empty glass. Therefore if it is not completely full with something, it is empty to a certain extent, could be half empty, or could be a few drops empty.
Be a realist. Half the glass has water in it. The other half doesn't.
Depends on what's in the glass.
My glass is full. Half with liquid and half with air.
It reached that point by either adding air or liquid.
I'm way too jaded and cynical to be an optimist.
I have always said it depends. If you filled it all the way and drank half, it's half empty. If you filled it half way and stopped there, it's half full.
I've always been rather pessimistic, skeptical, and critical. I guess that means seeing the glass half empty. I don't own a pair of rose-colored glasses either.
It's simply half a glass, I need more context to tell whether it's filling or emptying. I'm an analyst and a realist.
I always fill up my truck when it hits half a tank so idk i don't deal with that half bs
Me too !
More of the "if we pooled our glasses, we'd have a full one together" type.
Then how much would you drink? Or would you place a line at exactly half and drink only your fair share.
I don't understand people who go through life hatin' and being generally pessimistic. I don't know how they do it!
They become grumpy old men ( or ladies) my husband is like that - he is DEFINITELY going to be a grumpy old man !
