Disagree. I prefer a civil and genteel candidate, but the stereotypical republican has a rubber spine and stands for the wrong things. I'll a dirty trickster that advances my political goals over a Romney, graham, or kasich, anytime.

You represent the views of the people that vote you into office as their representative. So, the emphasis should be on getting elected, to do what the people want done. Not so much, on what the candidate wants to do.
