I agree. But I would question the judgment of someone who couldn't see value in space exploration or particle physics research. I also wonder if Bernie would make the "hindsight is 20/20" defense about the Iraq War.
His views on nuclear energy, GMOs , NASA, and science in general are absolutely horrible. We should stay as the world leader in science and technology but Sanders doesn't want that. The more I learn about him the more I dislike him.
The ISS was of course built despite Sanders' opposition. The proposed SSC project ways successfully scrapped due to opposition after $1 bil had been spent on it.
