What Trump calls political correctness is more often plain rudeness.
In his case - yes
Has he said rude things? Absolutely.
But I think the criticism about politeness is just a proxy from PC SJWs, and those people are truly dangerous
PC SJWs? Not a word I recognize.
"Social justice warriors." A pejorative name for someone espousing concepts like equal rights - especially the louder, shouty activists, but often applied (including here on SOH) to people who just, well, believe in equality and aren't afraid to say so. (It's been applied to me, for example.)
I believe in equality and am not afraid to say so. No one has ever confused me with a SJW. You have to be a special kind of degenerate racist piece of shit to be a SJW
Ok, I learned something new AGAIN on SOH. But as long as you bring the word dangerous into the conversation, Trump is a 5 alarm fire. He's a Hitler in progress.
I still don't get the term based on your context. Seems contradictory to me.
Trump is a bad candidate and I won't be voting for him, but comparing him to hitler is ignorant at best.
Compare what he's accused of saying vs what he actually says. Don't be a stooge of anti-free speech teenagers
I don't make Hitler references freely. But as a student of history, there are eerie similarities between 2016 America and 1939 Germany that are undeniable.
I wasn't nasty to you.
Uh... Are you sure that's what you mean?
Yes, did I err again?
Maybe it's just me. But I think you mean that what Trump would call certain discourse *without* a "political correctness" filter is often plain rudeness.
What I'm saying Susan is that often he makes offensive comments and excuses them by saying he's not politically correct.
Personally, I wish we'd stop calling things "PC." It's as if you can't encourage people to be kind to each other instead of insulting and disparaging, without being called a name.
OK, I get it now. The phrasing still trips me up a bit, but I get it.
Thank you Susan! I can't stand that people intentionally say negative things for the sake of not being "PC".
