Inspired by the main poll - someone drinks, on average, 20 days out of the year. When they do, they usually keep drinking until they get really drunk. Are they an alcoholic?
Sounds like someone is depressed.
Yes. Binge drinking is a symptom of alcholism. Drinking to the point of blacking out is dangerous. If they feel the need to drink and are unable to stop once they begin they are an alcoholic.
Yes. When you drink and can't, wont stop till you are trashed you are an alcoholic.
Nope. I'd call them a hobbyist.
By definition, yes. The definition should be updated. IMO
Binge drinker, yes. Alcoholic, not necessarily.
No. Maybe he just goes to a lot of weddings!
Binge drinking is a problem.
Alcoholism is more than how much you drink.
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
I was wondering if you were going to stop by
I think you're an alcoholic if you drink everyday or if you "need" it to function throughout everyday life. I'm on the fence about drinking till you pass out or the end of the night ring considered an alcoholic. It could be a form of alcoholism but I'm not an expert. I'm drinking right now so who knows
Alcoholics go to meetings. We prefer the term drunks thanks.
I drink coffee 380 days a year, but I'm not overly hyped....
Whoa, calm down
