Would you vote for a very qualified and experienced candidate for president, if he or she were also gay?
Absolutely. I would think she was a lots smarter
I don't see how being gay or not being gay could be a factor, with one exception. Being found out to be gay, after a history as a politician who has publicly opposed equality for all or who has spoken out against gays, would have the same effect on my decision process as a "family values" crusader who is found out to have had an affair - a permanent branding as an unsupportable and intolerable hypocrite.
That wouldn't influence my decision at all. Nothing more than an interesting factoid.
Sure. A candidate's sex, gender, or sexual orientation doesn't make a particle of difference to me. (My current Representative in Congress is gay - also the first openly gay parent in Congress - and I'm basically very happy with him.)
No, I'm homophobic, but presently with what's presented I might change ? : (
