Have you ever written a Secret Admirer note?
At my school if someone did that, there would be the school advisor going on a full search incase there was a child predator on campus.
Mississippi is the new Vermont.
:P that sounds.....HILARIOUS X,D sorry don't mean to laugh at you mistake but that's pretty darn funny XD
aw she's so mean :c
awwww that's so sweet :3
yes, while impersonating someone else...
Never did that but I did do the old get my friend to ask her or her friend to ask her if she likes me. I think most kids did something like that in grade school tho
Like in 5th grade I did. What a dork I was.
Aww... So sweet, Mississippi! ;)
Yes. Looking back it was so creepy.
My friend had me write one for her because she couldn't alter her handwriting well and I could in fifth grade.
In college, I sent a guy flowers anonymously. About a year and a half later we got married :)
Yes, many times... To myself.
If I'm too shy for a direct approach I better hone my skills and finesse in alternative ones :)
Not other than for a prank or something
praet it dies seem risky as you mentioned. Many more ways for it to go wrong than just saying hello. But as you say, it's an opening. It seems it would take a lot more care and finesse than a direct approach, but I get being shy.
...let you keep face by ignoring it and avoid a head on rejection which is devastating if you are shy.
lol. me and my 2 best friends liked the same guy and we wrote a love letter.... in 2nd grade. d: awkwardest moment when he found out it was me and my friends... do i regret it... yes d:
You word it so the recipient may suspect you and then watch their reaction. You give them the option to...
Yes. She married me 9 years later and I still write he live notes after 34 years.
yep, I write them in the form of love poetry, mostly inspired by Arab poets, like Abu Nuwas.
To your comment and reply, I did the same thing.
Dammit, I have to say yes! Just a few months ago, I'm only 13.
I don't remember writing a note, so I logically assume that I haven't, but annotate it with an asterisk since I *might* have, but don't really know.
It's different from the fact that I KNOW that I have never had an amputation, because I have evidence of all limbs still being attached ;)
Having no experience with such a note, and presumably some hoped-for response, I don't know the protocol. For example, how would the recipient know if there was reciprocal interest without knowing the identity of the admirer? I picture: "Yes, I like you too... Oh wait, it's just you. Never mind."
If both are very shy it's a start - better than nothing. With that, you also test the waters without being committed.
Also, when I had a crush (always),I made veiled remarks to that person/friends.But harder to crack than enigma code
Yes, in school on the blackboard with altered handwriting when everybody was in recess. I had the sponge in the other hand in case someone enters. Nothing happened, it could have backfired if that person who was shy like me had suspected a 3rd person and found the courage to approach them.
I send one every week to Angelina Jolie! She never writes back though. :(
In the UK Valentine's Day cards are always sent "from your secret admirer" :)
I don't see how it could ever be helpful. Confidence and honesty offset some of my shortcomings. If I wrote a note, I'd sign it, but would be more likely to just talk to her directly.
I used a text. But it defeated the whole 'secret' purpose
Of course but I never delivered it.
n. A stalker who is "nice."
Yeah I wrote "if you like me nod, if you don't like me do a backflip"
She did a really awkward backwards summersault which was so funny it almost made up for her denying me.
As a prank.
yea but as a joke
SHHH!!! IT'S A SECRET GUISE.
I wrote a secret admirer note to my (then, but now ex) wife. She didn't figure out it was from me.
In 3rd grade.
I made him an origami penguin and wrote "from your secret admirer".
I placed it on his desk when no one else was around.
Written? YES! Sent? no...
I did in high school. Had a crush on this super cute guy. So I got the courage to write it and put it in the wrong locker. Got a call that night saying, " I'm flattered and all, but I'm a girl and I don't like other girls sorry." all I could do was laugh. Never wrote another note again.
@milkdud - I answered "yes" because that sounds like something I probably did in 6th grade, but I don't have a clear memory of ever doing so, either. Secret admirer crushes aren't necessarily a memorable event.
Really? That's as certain as you can get on something like this?
I don't think that I have.
Nope.. Knowing my luck id be the person to put it in the wrong backpack/ locker. ????
