How many people complaining about Obamacare already have health insurance? Then you have no right to complain, your premiums will go down. Poor people who need insurance will be able to afford it and those that can't afford it are still exempt.

And you're not paying for someone else's bill anymore!! That's what Obamacare and Romneycare do. Only the freeloaders w/o insurance pay a tax penalty for not responsibly carrying insurance. Now we taxpayers don't get hit with the bill or see rising premiums. Partisan idea until 5 years ago...

Health problems are unexpected, uncontrollable, and sometimes unaffordable. It can happen to anyone and should not condemn someone to poverty.

What if you are 18 and was just diagnosed with a chronic illness, costing over $60,0000 a year? I would not be able to purchase health insurance without the reform. At least now, insurance co's can't deny me coverage based on a pre-existing condition.

This is a matter of PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. The government reimburses the hospitals for uninsured visits and all taxpayers pick up the tab and insurance premiums increase. Now, only those who do not abide by the mandate are taxed as a penalty, unless they are economically unable to afford insurance

I'm with cowboy. The Communists have been after us for 65 years. Their ideas and objectives for the U.S.A. didn't die out with the Soviet Union. Obamacare is one more step in the wrong direction.

I agree that certain things need some market-based reform (high-risk pools for 'uninsurable' individuals, etc.) but the overarching government takeover of the medical system known as Obamacare is not the answer.

Ok I will. The more the government gets itself involved in ur life the more u get dependent on it, then the more powerful the government gets and the power it has over u...then...there goes ur freedom. in a few words, thats the truth.

ER are for emergencies. They also are extremely expensive. So many of the working poor use it for their primary care because ERs cannot turn you away. How inefficient is that? Is Obamacare the best it can be? No, but it's a start.

You already pay for the uninsured's ER visits. No one can be denied ER treatment based on money. And the Affordable Heathcare Act isn't going to change.

If you don't drive, you don't have to buy insurance. I don't get that same freedom with healthcare now... I'm mandated to buy it or be fined, I mean taxed! If I don't pay it... I go to jail! Welcome to The United Socialist States of America.

And welfare is just rich people giving poor people free money. Police and fire fighters is the community paying to keep other people safe from crime and fires. But these things are needed to keep a society functioning. It is what keeps people from tearing each other apart.

Keep the preexisting conditions clause. Keep the "limit" clause (keeps insurance companies from dropping you when you have a catastrophic illness, in the middle of treatment) and repeal the rest.

Even someone making $100k will not be able to cover themselves in the case of a catastrophe (cancer, heart disease, major surgery). And the rest of us then have to end up paying that persons bills if they can't.

Filbert: you already pay for health care or the uninsured by way of medical costs, in the most inefficient way. Think outside the box and maybe you'll realize obamacare is the much more efficient way to treat uninsured.
