I had the same thought. Just got power back today. Wasn't on SOH during outage.

yes, and it sucks. con Ed said it could be ten days before my neighborhood has power again. all I know is, I'm going to appreciate having electricity a whole lot more when all of this is over.

that's a really good idea. I have pretty limited use of my phone right now since I have to bring it elsewhere to charge it, and a lot of people are probably in the same situation.

They could be people that live in a western state, but are at the moment, visiting an eastern state.

Tony, the results are skewed. I'm pretty sure many folks without power are not using SOH.

How about a repeat poll, in a week or so, "Did you lose power during the storm?"

It was out for 18 hours.. But PSE&G said it wouldn't be back until November 5th! Thankfully, they lied :)

Probably just to make us all think it was a miracle when our lights came back on..

Costco, Walmart, SAMs, Best Buy, Amazon, etc. They're sold to provide uninterrupted power for computers and home theater systems, but function as a combination battery/inverter to power anything within their capacity. Common brands are APC, Tripp-Lite, and CyberPower.

We are on the public safety grid. So, no. The power people have been working hard.

I would suppose that many people without power can't vote on here...and even if there's cell service their batteries may be dead by now, or they're not wasting their battery going to "Show of Hands"!

Power just came back on about an hour ago. I didn't have school yesterday or today because of the storm and no school tomorrow because of having no power :)

1% of Californians are affected. Wow.

Then you should probably change your location to the state your currently located in.
