Yes once. I was driving home in the dark and I saw it in a field on the side of the highway. When I got home my wife and kids were watching it from the front porch but all they could see was the cloud.

I said yes, although it was night and really hard to see.

No but there have been many times where we had to go in our basement because of a tornado in our area. Luckily, no tornado has been super close to my house.

No, but I've been through one. It was nighttime, so I didn't see it, but I saw some debris flying by the window.

I find all of your stories pretty interesting. As for myself, the closest thing to a tornado I've seen is a few water spouts when I was little.

When I lived in South Dakota a tornado destroyed a bunch of houses in our neighborhood a block down our street

Been close, about a mile, but too many trees and hills to see it.

A few times. Flat West Texas and lots of driving put me in places to see them.

Closest I've ever been to one was in Colorado back around 1993-1994. Was in a wheat field about a mile or two north of me.

No. I've been within 5 miles of a pretty destructive one, but it hit too early in the morning for me to see it.
