Obamacare defines full time jobs as 30 hours per week or more. Do you consider 30 hours per week a full time job?

40/wk is full time, but 40/wk is considered full time for benefits (according to federal wage and hour labor laws. That's where the 30 come from- Obamacare dodging

I know some people are warming the chairs for 40 hours a week doing less than 30 hours worth of work.

Aren't part time people that were exempted from health care the ones that Obamacare was written for? After all, the very poor have government care, and people with good full time jobs have health care. It's the working poor, part time low paying jobs that didn't get health care. They're the ones that the democratic congress enacted the biggest law in history. The most expensive behemoth ever. So then it doesn't even cover those same people that this thing was supposed to be for. What a bunch of crap.

That's technically 3/4 time, but it's often used as a cutoff point for whether or not an employee is eligible for benefits. That might be the basis for Obama's thinking.

Nope. I did more than that as part time.

One of the reasons they did it however was because when you work 30 hours a week at minimum wage for fifty-two weeks you earn enough to be over the poverty threshold. Still not consistent with the 40 hour work week.
