If you had a chance for a “do-over” in life, what would you do differently?

In 10th grade my physics class, I sat at the only table with less than 3 people at it. So there was this kid sitting there, and I want nothing to do with him, and he just kept talking to me all the time. I even tried being mean,he just kept going

And I had to deal with him all year. He didn't know anything either; so of course he has to ask me. Which makes us have to talk which is something I didn't plan on doing with him. I see him sometimes and every time I can I avoid him

So my do over would be to not sit at that table with him

Finish my college degree and go to graduate school sooner. I wouldn't change the dropping out of college and subsequent commune years; there were way too many valuable experiences during & as a result of that (including my daughter), but there were some years when I was just treading water. It would have made for a longer & more productive career.

I would relive the time period of my wife's sexual peak. Good times!

There's some mistakes I'd leave because they make me who I am. But I would do two things (1, considering they wouldn't both be able to be changed because the first would mean the second didn't happen).
1) Have someone watch the friend's house we were supposed to move into. He is military, left and forgot to turn the water off. Pipes burst making it unsafe and us homeless.
2) Not move into that really nice insanely expensive apartment but move elsewhere. It really hurt us financially.

Your story reminds me of a tale I was told of someone who rented their house to a family from a part of southeast Asia. The owners of the house were deployed and the renters proceeded to use one of the bedrooms as a chicken coop. And only got caught when their chicken managed to get out the window and the neighbors called the authorities.

I've thought of this many times. Problem with that is if you change anything, chances are whatever you change effects everything else. Since I love my life as it is today, I wouldn't change a thing.

With a do over I'd change some things but I have no regrets.
