Would you enjoy being President of the United States?
Yup. But would ya'all enjoy me is the question.
Absolutely. It would be an honor to be one of the greatest leaders this nation has ever seen.
Never gave it much thought but what has been President in present and past years makes me think I may have done much better.
I would hate it and also I don't think I'd be very good at it so then I would only hate it more.
I'd be dead inside of a week. Both parties and all of the crocks in our system would kill anyone who wasn't a total sellout.
HELL no. The opposing party hates me, I will have to fight and argue for what I want. Maybe an executive decision or two. Will have to deal with lobbyists, veto stupid bills, fly overseas for meetings , go on TV when there's a tragedy (hate public speaking) and other speeches, have to deal with the media's questions and bias, the job also ages you from stress, you have to raise boatloads of cash to campaign, mudsling, fingerpoint (if opponents do- I'm not a nice person. But I probably wouldn't) I'll be hated because if congress acted like they did now, I'd lock them in the room, tell them they're not getting paid until they come up with a permanent budget. I'd probably get impeached. No. I'll skip it.
I would do it but i dont think i would enjoy it
For one single term
I used to think no, because dealing with legislators would be pretty tedious, but I've come to realize you don't have to. Just have one of your lackeys remind them who is in charge, and that you'll be much too busy to bother with the worst of them during your (at most) two terms there. I think I could find a way to do the important stuff while not bothering with the fluff.
Put me in coach I'm ready to play.
It would be very hard and challenging but I would do it no doubt
So Republicans can name call me and say I'm a horrible person? No thanks.
I'm pretty sure that's all Americans who name call and hate on presidents they don't like.
Yeah. Democrats and Republicans are enemies.
Dream come true
I would but I am unelectable. I'm a short, bald, fat gay guy.
Yes. I'd rather be a dictator or a king, but I suppose the presidency would work.
I would hate having to lie so often and on a regular basis.
You mean "stretch the truth"?
Way too much stress and responsibility. Plus $400,000 a year seems like chump change for all the job requires. I'm not smart enough to do it or aware enough of world events and politics.
Not a chance in hell. Half the country will hate you, most of the world would hate you, and I wouldn't be able to get anything substantial done to this twisted country in 4 years. Probably one of the worst jobs in the world if you ask me.
Be kind of cool to read the hidden documents. But other than no.
I don't think anyone would enjoy it. Would I take it? Probably
Yes. I'd enjoy it very much.
I would piss way to many Americans off.
And be blamed for everything wrong in the world? No thank you.
I'm an introvert. I would hate it.
Might be fun at times but it would be more stressful than anything
One of the biggest problems we have is that the most qualified people don't want the job. Which leaves us with those people that really want it. Like those kids in grade school that would do and say anything to be liked. You know, the people that shouldn't have the job.
I'd have a ball, before I was assassinated. ; )
I would love it. It might be stressful but it would be totally worth it.
A congressman would probably be better
For about 15 minutes until "fast-track" impeachment hearings were started.
No, i don't think i would enjoy every single thing i do be meticulously scrutinised by all of my opponents and the media spreading lies about me
Yes, I'm a policy wonk. I'm obsessed with learning, reading proposals from all sides, learning their strengths, debating with opposition. So the actual governing I would deeply enjoy. However, the politics side of it would drive me nuts. I hate the media and I hate corruption. So I'd be Jimmy Cartered within a week.
Same. Except I'm not a Ron Paul person :)
Well we'll run with the other as VP and have lively public debate haha.
I could do so much better than the present president.
Troll the media, and make life better for as many people as possible. That's my agenda.
So much power and tension. I can't handle it. If it is only power I be fine but tension
I'd rule with an iron fist
I would be either the greatest president in history or impeached inside of a week...
It'd make me miserable.
I might be the only one who would enjoy it, but hell yeah!
Absolutely, I would love to go golfing every week and take a dozen vacations a year paid by the American people and socialize with celebrities in hopes of donations. So much fun!!!
No way! I'm somewhat of a perfectionist, and all the lies, corruption, and demagoguery would drive me insane. In my quest for an honest, efficent, and smaller Federal Government, I would be eaten alive by the "do-gooders" and the fake media.
No way. I'm not a natural leader. And I'll get eaten alive by the hysteria of the media and the political games and fights.
Plus you are honest. 😃
Yes I've already kicked off my campaign for the 2036 cycle
I don't think I would enjoy having the stress of it, however I would enjoy knowing that I would be remembered in history and am making a difference in the world
There are some aspects that I'm sure I would enjoy, but overall, I believe I will pass.
No, especially not right now. Too much pressure, too much polarization, too many moral decisions that could blacken my soul.
The position of President isn't supposed to be "enjoyed." It's not a job, it's a tremendous responsibility to the country.
I would be unpopular with both parities because I would do unpopular things like flat-tax for everybody and corporations, no deductions. Slash the IRS by 90%, push more to states and abolish the EPA, FDA, department of education, cut military by half, privatize social security, abolish affordable care act. Congressional 2-term limit, and constitutional amendment for mandatory balanced federal budget.
Somebody has to cleanup the mess of democrats, republicans, and their cronies ruining the federal government.
You would have my vote.
Sounds good to me
Yes , what a great job to have no living expenses ,a paycheck , car , plane, helicopter , and medical coverage. Sign me up I'm a natural born leader anyhow.
You do know that the Prez has to pay for his & his family's food and personal items, and any soirees that are not State events, right? And he gets paid a tenth of what a lot of corporate CEOs do. It's not the gravy train you allude to.
Yes I know but trust me It is a money grab , if you want to serve your country you'd do it for free. The ex presidents make money for speaking appearances ,books and numerous other "favors" for other politicians.
