He had a rich dad. He doesn't need good judgment to survive.

I can't decide how to answer, as I can make a case either way. Everything he says and every position he takes is contrary to what most of us would consider good judgement. However, he is doing very well at keeping all attention on himself and all political discussions about him; and it seems to be working for him.

I said yes, but I'm assuming this has nothing to do with him running for presidency. He must have some sense of good judgment given that he's as successful as he is.

No. Maybe in the business world but, contrary to how he's running his campaign, the USA isn't a business & the Oval Office isn't a board room with a big high-backed chair where the occupant can just fire anyone who doesn't meet his expectations.

There are a lot of things in his personal and professional life that one could use to make the case for a lot of bad judgement. He's a good guy, but *very* self-serving, which is how he's been able to be so successful in business. He rationalizes decisions based solely on result & how he will be benefit. That is not the basis for "good judgement" running a country.

He couldn't have made millions without very good judgement...

Helps when daddy is a multi millionaire, and gives you an inheritance of at least $40m (estimated)

He lost all daddy gave him... and made it all back and then some.

No. I'll give you four reasons: his four bankruptcies. If his judgement was all that sound that number would be zero. But it's not. Hence, he's a four time loser. I like winners. Trump isn't one.

Excellent judgement. He's saying what most are thinking and bringing it into the open for discussion.

I don't think you get and *stay* that rich without good judgment. I also don't think you control the media almost completely without it. So, he's got good judgment, at least in some areas. In others, well...

If he wins the presidency, then yes he had good judgment.

You can have bad judgement if you just inherited daddy's money.

Well he has had good judgment in how to make money. But in other areas of life?

According Bloomberg, trump is valued at $2.9 billion. If he would have invested his dad's money in a mutual fund that tracked the S&p 500 and not invested his money on his own, he would be worth about $8 billion. So actually he has lost $5.1 billion because he didn't know how to invest money. So yeah I think I do know a little something about him being so "rich and accomplished."

You are way off on his net worth. Way off.

I guess I'm going to believe some random guy on soh over a international monetary company and think tank. That will give me the right answer on a politicians net worth.

Bloomberg (an international fiscal research center) is more statistical and more invested in research than any source trump has cited so... If you doubt the legitimacy of an actual statically backed up source then maybe you should support trump. And actually provide an actual argument rather than just questioning the legitimacy of Bloomberg.

Typical Donald trump supporting response. Not backing up anything just merely saying something you disagree with is wrong

Ted Cruz is a politician. He knows he has to watch what he says. Trump calls it as he sees it. Frankly, it's one of the things I like about him.

Not better judgment than Ted Cruz, as he said today.

Trump has good judgment as a businessman, but he doesn't have the best judgment as a politician.

I don't know how you can question his political judgement in obtaining the GOP nomination. He seems to have the "establishment" Republicans stymied. The problem will come in the general election if nominated.

Once Trump is the GOPs candidate for president he will change his message. Right now his message is to stand out from the crowded Republican candidates running for the position.
