[Ceres update] NASA has concluded the mysterious bright spots on Ceres to be magnesium sulfate from water-ice sublimation. More interestingly, detection of ammonia-rich clays suggest that Ceres may not have even been born in our solar system.

Amazing. I mean, Ceres has a stable orbit with little eccentricity, so it would be baffling if it's captured by our Sun.
