My brother is transgender and he will always be my brother to me. My sister was able to mentally switch but I simply can't. I'm not trying to be unloving its just hard to make a switch after years of refering to him as a him

In general of view them as they view themselves but thief would be certain circumstances were naming them by their biological gender is preferenced

Depends on the context. If I'm just meeting a person, regular does of wether or not they are transgendered, I'll probably call the a "he" or "she" based off of their appearance.

Wow, I butchered that... *whether they are transgendered or not*

I don't really think it's a really bad thing to do, but I don't mind just calling them how they wanna be called. Life's too short to fight on something so petty. Besides, misgendering them isn't gonna make them magically not want to be transgender.

Why would you want to intentionally do something that is completely unnecessary and rude?

Because I don't lie. To myself or others

I'm actually very kind and friendly to everyone. But I will kindly tell the truth whether their feelings are hurt or not.

Just curious, when the atheists tell you hat you are delusional, do you get offended?

*that. And this is a serious question. I find that when I don't agree with someone or they don't live their lives in a way I'd choose to live mine, I wouldn't go out of my way to say something hurtful.

Athiests have a right to believe whatever they want. Just don't expect me to agree with them or to tell them they are ok by believing it. I also would never go out of my way to offend someone but if the situation arises then I won't participate in the lie.

Well that's what I'm asking. If an atheist was pressed by conviction to tell you that you were delusional, how would you feel?

This happens on a daily basis on this app. Honestly I feel sorry for them but hold no grudge for them speaking their mind.

There is lots of name calling here amongst many people lately.

It's unfortunate.

Is it really that hard to treat them like a human? They wanna be called a girl, say she. It's not worth abusing that individual. I don't pretend to understand transgendered people, and find it strange. But I don't wanna hurt them

They've misgendered themselves

False. Society has misgendered them.

It's pretty simple really, you are what you were born with. You can chop it off and sew on something new but that's the equivalent of putting a Porsche body kit on a Chrysler frame.

Sex is what you are born with, gender is the social norms associated with sex. Norms can and often do, change over time. It's a common misunderstanding.

The only thing that's changed is that they're going to the wrong doctors now.

Had to look up meaningšŸ˜±. Seems obvious to me that that would be terribly rude and hurtful. What would be gained? A sense of superiority of the one making the claim?

Of course not. Why wouldn't I identify people as they identify themselves?

Agree. Only mean spirited people would do it.
