At this point in the 2008 election, Hillary Clinton was 30-40 points ahead of Barack Obama and Newt Gingrich was leading. Do you think Trump will be the Republican nominee?
Not a chance!
Na. As others drop, their support will go to Carson, Cruz or Rubio. It will be tighter in the end. There's just so man candidates that support is spread.
In the back of my mind, I wonder if he's a plant. Not for Hillary. No, no, no. That would be idiotic & out there. He'd be a plant to show how insane the Tea Party is. And if he won the Republican nomination, he'd say so, and reveal himself. But my imagination tends to run wild, so I'm not counting on it. It would be funny if it was. I know people who agree with him, and I want to see the expression on their faces when and if he says that. I would seriously gloat.
Getting out of debt, balancing the budget, following the constitution....wildly radical ideas I know!
The VP maybe......
The difference this time, is who else do they have? The reason Trump is leading, no matter how absurd his statements, is that they really don't have anyone else at all.
Of course we do! It's the democrats that have only liars and socialists.
And you kinda just proved that you would never vote for a republican no matter who they are.
No, just that I would not vote for any of the Republicans currently running, and that of that small group, Trump is the least bad of a bad lot. There are Republicans I might vote for, if they were running, even some, like Collins, I would enthusiastically support.
You can't get more moderate than Kasich or Christie, or Romney for that matter. Which is why both Romney and McCain lost. Liberals need to nominate a moderate and stop telling conservative to.
I am a Republican and do not support him.
No, his small group of niche voters will be nothing compared to the rest of the GOP by primaries
You may be surprised.
I hope Trump or Cruz are. Lately, I've been leaning more for Trump because he has establishment politicians worldwide scared to death.
He does have that going for him.
I sure hope not
I certainly hope Republicans are smarter than that.
Still do. I don't support Obama and Hillary Clinton supporters.
I tend to agree with that. Not sure what that has to do with Rand though.
Yeah ok. 👌🏻
Is Chimama a troll or something? Rand Paul is the closest we have to a Libertarian who can actually have a chance in a general election.
Yeah, I know. Rand is about as anti-establishment than you can get.
There's a reason the media doesn't like the Pauls. And how are Libertarians not "real" Conservatives? Libertarianism stands for anti-war, small government, small debt, civil liberties, and obeying the Constitution/Bill of Rights.
And Chimama, don't you support Trump? What is he besides a blessing to Clinton?
He doesn't have a chance in hell of winning a general election.
Which is why Trump will go third party to help his dear friends, the Clintons.
When you factor in people who don't just get polled on landlines, Donald Trump doesn't have a chance. I would hate to see a Liberal in office again, but Trump is even worse. He'd get demolished in a GE. He's a fascist.
Two words. Ross Perot.
Rand wins a ton of online polls too. Fascists don't win elections in America. I'm sorry, but Trump is a fool if he thinks he has a chance. He knows he'll lose to Clinton if nominated. If he isn't, he will go Independent and let her win anyway.
Trump said the other day that he wants to meet with Bill Gates in order to "close the Internet up". Do you agree with that?
He has qualities of one. For one, he doesn't oppose the surveillance state and even goes as far as go say that we should make a database for everyone following a religion.
Or anything else he disagrees with...
I do seriously hope not, but if the media continues its relentless attacks I don't see how he can be stopped.
