Leviticus 18:22 “You should not lie with a male as with a woman; its an abomination.” Knowing this is a command of God, should a Christian support Homosexuality?
I heard that verse have been misinterpreted and mistranslated.
The Bible is mostly amoral. Why would anyone pay any attention to it?
Christ wouldn't throw anyone out of church. Focus on your own sins people.
Didn't he drive out money lenders with an improvised whip?
Does that make Jesus an antisemite??
Where's the choice for 'who cares?' But while we are dragging out quotes from Leviticus....answer me this...do you adhere to all of Leviticus or just the verses that support your worldview? I believe it's an all or nothing deal.
I don't know where I read this, but in the historical context abomination carried a different meaning then than it does now. Kinda makes sense because language is ever evolving and that was written a looonnngggg time ago. Anyone else heard/know about this?
what else could abomination mean?
Yeah and on the same page guess what he said we should do with them? Allow them to have civil unions? Let them date and have sex with no official recognition? No. It says you should kill them. If you're going to use the bible to justify you're bigotry, don't ignore the bloody details.
Every Christian individual and denomination chooses whatever they want to believe from the bible. In the original Ten Commandments it says you should not work on Saturday, then the Catholic Church came along and changed it to Sunday. On the same Ten Commandments it says not to kill, but a few chapters later it says that whoever works on the sabbath shall be put to death. In conclusion, the bible is just as radical as the Quran, but mainstream Christians are better at being hypocrites and ignoring it.
