Washington was right. All they've bred is corruption and robbed the People of rights and freedoms. We need to return this country to the fundamentals of Federalism.

Disassemble both the Republican and Democrat parties, they've far outlived their usefulness. After a primary election, hand the top 5 contenders a set amount of money and let them campaign with only that. Then hold the election and let what is, remain what is.

They are good to pool the resources of the many against the vast wealth of the few...unless you are a Republican. Then vast wealth is spent on fooling you into making some false connection between taxes on the rich and welfare. We need to tax the rich because of social security and medicaid.

When it became clear that the party was more important than doing the right thing for the people, it became obvious parties were bad

Yes, political parties are the problem, once you start aligning yourself with a group of people, no matter how many options of parties you are presented with, you run the risk of mob mentality and stop thinking for yourself.

They are horrible for this country! They divide us instead of uniting us. Washington even told us if we fall into parties this country will crumble! Well it starts today

Not in and of themselves, no. But when folks embrace their party more than our Constitutional principles, that's a problem.

I know there are more parties but I think we need more than 2 popular parties, because all the other parties sadly never stand a chance and just having 2 popular ones aren't working bc for me it doesn't work out that your exactly one way, there needs to more choices.

Gary Johnson needs just 5% of the vote for the libertarian party to be considered a minor party candidate!

George Washington himself said that political parties would not be beneficial. Partisanship is prevalent in all aspects of politics. While I don't believe a new system could be easily implemented right now, parties only seem to hinder progress.

If you voted yes then you are for Communism or monarchy. Loo at other countries without parties. They are totalitarian regimes

First of all, the media and debates should include other party candidates more.

country from within. I don't want to call Obama the Great Divider like Republicans do, because it's been happening before Obama even got into office. it just escalated when he got in there

The extremists ruined the Republican party..now the Tea Party is feasting on the remnants..sad As for the Democratic pArty? the environmentalist/politically correct whack jobs are destroying it. Yes, we need to get rid of the two party system, and get rid of the whackjobs..they are KILLING this

The two party system isn't working anymore. Add 3-5 parties may help are nation. To many problems can not be solved in the legislative branch and we need to get this country moving again.

Education is the key, unfortunately when I showed up to the polls they were handing out dummy ballets so that people could see what they were voting for. If you did not research before you showed up, don't vote. Go get educated on the facts!

Political parties are a part of a system of checks and balances. The problem is that there are not enough independent party representatives in the House or Senate.

I voted. Please get out there too. It is not just about candidates. In Maryland we have some life changing issues on our ballot. We need to make our voices heard. I don't care if you cancel my vote. Just make sure we are fully and accurately represented. This is the best way to prevent unrest

We can change the dogma one senator at a time. You can risk loosing one senator right? When we get a pack of senators the mob rule overrides common sense.

Don't most parties have alcohol and end with someone dancing on a table with a lampshade on their head? And open bar policy would vastly improve our parties! And we're all guaranteed a hangover tomorrow regardless of who wins.

Only having two political parties is definitely bad. More parties would go a long way toward improving America by giving us more candidates who meet our exact beliefs rather than the lesser of two evils every four years.
