"If men could get pregnant, abortion clinics would be like Starbucks. There would be two on every block and four in every airport, and the morning after pill would come in different flavors like sea salt and cool ranch"
Oh hey there MrWolfe! Been awhile 😊
Well that's pretty sexist.
I can't wait for them to perfect the male birth control pill just so that there's one more option for responsibly preventing pregnancy.
Yes let's manipulate male hormones instead.
I've heard this argument a few times. It has got to be one of the stupidest anti-pro life arguments out there. Completely hypothetical with no ground in reality
Cool ranch, lol. It's a bit hyperbolic, but there's some truth to it.
No I don't believe that would be the case. The pro-life movement exists irrespective of sex. What many who are pro-choice have difficulty understanding is that our policies are not designed to control women, but merely to stop the tragedy of abortion
Lol, so if abortion became illegal tomorrow, some guy some where wouldn't force his wife or girlfriend to get one in a hotel/motel room somewhere. Not only do i not believe you but your lie also hopes to rely on people's naivety.
Here's what I can tell you. Women in this country are coerced or pressured into getting abortions on a regular basis. It's horrible and it needs to be stopped. If abortion were outlawed, then we could prosecute these monsters who seek to force women
to have an abortion. Today, a man can threaten his SO into receiving an abortion, but after the pro-life victory that will be illegal. I'm not lying about anything and I would appreciate it if you did not make those kind of unseemly assumptions.
Yes you could prosecute them, but it would not stop men and women from seeking out and getting them unsafely. As long as it's legal it can be done safely. Is going back to getting abortions in back alleys by who knows who what we want to do?
There's some wisdom in that. :)
As if men could handle being pregnant OR getting an abortion.
I take offense to that. Lol
Of it were the way it was always done, there would be nothing about it. We men could do it if we had too. We would bitch and moan and complain a lot more. Lol
Haha! I'll have to see it 😉
Well I will practice for you and if I get pregnant, I will be sure to let you know.
Greatly exaggerated, but essentially on track.
Sadly, this is very true. Society is much more concerned with males' sexual health than females'.
What?! How does society show that it cares more about male sexual health than female
That's the dumbest and most sexiest comments I've heard all day.
That's a relief
The sexiest comment, you say? ;-)
Dang it auto check.
Well I assume this is hyperbole
Excellent question and totally true - 😂😎
What a profoundly sexist argument...
Comedy skit from SNL
It may've started as a comedy skit but the sad thing is a lot of people think it's a good argument
Even if men could get pregnant, they would just choose not to and force their female partner to get pregnant on their behalf. Over generations, the culture would develop an expectation for women to carry the baby. A gender role, so to speak.
So no, abortion clinics would not become widespread.
