The position that we have direct voluntary control over our beliefs (i.e. we can instantaneously choose to believe in a proposition at any time) is called direct doxastic voluntarism. Do you believe this to be true in at least some situations?

I don't believe we can will ourselves to believe something to be true without first being convinced with evidence.
