Today is the anniversary of the death of Robin Williams. Which of his movies really a struck a chord with you be it for its comedic value, or its sentimental value? Please discuss!
Jakob the Liar, Dead Poets Society, Good Morning Vietnam, Popeye, Awakenings... & RV
Oh, almost forgot - Good Will Hunting
All of those, but the kids love Mrs. Doubtfire.
One of ours too. Selfish to be disappointed there will be no Mrs Doubtfire 2? Yeah. 😞
No not selfish I would have liked to seen it too.
Good Will Hunting, makes me cry every time
The World According to Garp.
Heard an interesting interview with Lewis Black shortly after Williams' end. He wanted to get the word out that 30% of people that go through the heart surgery that Williams did end their own lives. That is a frightening statistic.
He said Robin was a drastically changed man after the surgery.
I particularly liked his more dramatic roles. Awakenings may have been my fav.
That one brought me close to tears. Williams was great but De Niro shocked me.
If it only brought you "close to tears", then you have no heart!😜
DeNiro was masterful. Williams was nominated for a golden globe and DiNiro nominated for an oscar.
There are too many good ones... Night at the Museum, Flubber, and Jumanji are my favorites.
My favorite Robin Williams movie is always gonna be Good Will Hunting. His character was truly inspirational. I have to say at an EXTREMELY close second is Dead Poets Society.
