I'm in the process of getting white girl wasted as I drink a pumpkin spice cappuccino! Since that season is coming upon us, pumpkin spice food/drinks...

We have a spice shaker full of pumpkin pie spice - we use it like salt & pepper but for sweeter things. We fill it specifically with Trader Joe's PPS blend. But it's seasonal, so we have to buy enough to last us all year. We 😍 pumpkin & its spice.

Are you kidding me? It's not even cold yet and here we have people talking about hot drinks and Christmas shopping. Am I the only sane one here? Lol

I love pumpkin flavored everything!

side note - "white girl wasted" means getting high on cocaine. "White girl" = slang term for cocaine

What the hell is "white girl wasted"?

Remember, never drink & post. Nice job on the spelling and punctuation though.

Sorry Matt. I love everything fall. I love pumpkin picking and waking on crunchy leaves. I like carving pumpkins and roasting seeds. But I can't drink it even with whipped cream.

Don't like pumpkin pie, don't like "pumpkin spiced" anything.

Not sure what to make of the white girl wasted part ...

It's a funny (supposed to be) jab at the stereotype that white girls like foofy Starbucks drinks and could practically get drunk on them.

Oh. Huh. Not familiar with that stereotype 8) clearly I am not "with it".

This restaurant near my mom had pumpkin pie soup. Tasted like hot pumpkin pie. Wasn't a fan.

The taste was spot on. It was just hot soup.

So it's wasted because you done have any liquor in it, disappointing

Probably, unless that was apple pie, which started this whole thing.

I *really* wish I'd kept a running list.

If everyone really loved the pumpkin stuff then why don't we drink it year round?

I do.

I have a can of pumpkin in my cupboard for just that purpose. Usually I have some frozen cubes of pumpkin with the spices already added, in my freezer, so I can just pop one of them into the microwave & make a pumpkin latte. I'm out of those,

those, but the spice jar with the mixed spices is sitting on my counter; sometimes I just use that.

Pumpkin flavored wine? I'm not sure if that would work.... I'd be willing to give it a try, though :)

I love October in general. Pumpkin flavored everything, my birthday, and of course, Halloween, my favorite holiday.

I love pumpkin & pumpkin-spice-flavored stuff. I've never bought a pumpkin spice drink from Starbucks (or any other foofy drink; a plain latte is as far as I'll go), but I make my own at home.

And when I make them, they *do* have pumpkin in them.

MachoMatt84 Mountain climbing
08/08/15 8:57 am

It's a joke. Usually meant to mean getting drunk on "girly" alcoholic drinks, I spin it to mean drinking "white girl" style drinks from Starbucks, like a "tall skinny cinnamon dulce' with one splenda".

susanr Colorado
08/08/15 9:06 am

Is it the pumpkin itself, or the pumpkin-pie spices? Because there's *no* pumpkin in a Starbucks pumpkin spice drink. (I don't know what kind MachoMatt is drinking, though.)

presrvd Phoenix
08/08/15 10:22 am

Susan..it's hard to say, as I haven't ingested any pumpkin in decades, but I think, as far as the smell goes, it probably is the combination of spices. Not sure though.
