Have you ever been to Brooklyn, NY?
My Grandparents lived there - my sister and I spent our younger years summers there. Funny leaving the "country" aka CT to go the city. 😜Last summer my bf and I took the subway there for the first time. Had to see that house again. It's been 40 yrs
-_- I'm an Islander fan. We play there.
Been to the state multiple times, never been to NYC.
I went to Brooklyn before it was cool to go to Brooklyn. Does that make me a hipster? 😥
College in Great Neck....got to Brooklyn and Queens every now and then!
Lived in Bay Ridge for two years, between 3-5. Then lived in Queens, now live in Manhattan. So...yes.

I lived there for 2 years
I was there last September.
Yup many many times. I'm not far from Brooklyn. I visit my cousins in Bensonhurst. Woohoo BROOKLYN!
Nope. Never been to NYC...but I have been to upstate NY.
No I haven't. Is it a poor area like pictures I see of Harlem?
Not at all
Parts of it, yes, very much so (Brownsville, East New York, Borough Park, Coney Island, Crown Heights). Other parts, not at all (DUMBO, Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights).
Brooklyn is on the rise. A lot of new restaurants, new housing, and people are starting to move there over Manhattan. You get more for the money and it's not nearly as hectic.
Lived in Brooklyn for 6 months it was awesome
Can I come 😭
Lol I'm not there anymore but yes please come to San Diego!
I have, many times. I grew up in Queens.
Born a breed in Boro Park Brooklyn.
Born there...... :)
Maybe, but I don't remember it specifically. It's downtown for miles.
I have, but I was 4 so I don't remember it at all.
Once, in the early 70s.
I sure have. My husband was born and raised in Brooklyn, the home of Junior's cheesecake.
I happen to be the great granddaughter of that same "Junior" best cheesecake on the planet. IMO
Absolutely the best cheesecake on the planet! How cool to be in the family! I hope the cheesecake secrets were passed down to you.
Born and raised. It was fantastic.
Born & bred baby. 😉
My parents still live there, I'm across the river now.
What on earth is bringing you all the way out to Brooklyn?
Boro Park was my home.
We've been all over, but finally ended up in bday ridge.
Know it well!
Born and raised there. Left after I got married.
Only the truck routes.
Hundreds of times. It's one of my favorite parts of New York.
I'll be there this weekend. Dinners on me. And to any other SoH person, in Brk.NY
Are you going to be there on Friday?
We land at 4:20
Ah. Well then, it's up to you. If you think you'll feel up to it, I'd gladly make the trip. I can't do other days this weekend. How long are you in the area?
F,y in on Fri, wedding late in Sat, Sun is open, fly back mid day on mon.
I think communicating they SoH is way better than thru how we also do it, thru email.
Well, I can do Friday for dinner, or either Sunday/Monday for breakfast. I'm unavailable on Saturday or Sunday afternoon/night.
Where in Brooklyn will you be? Do you eat steak? If so, I suggest going to Peter Luger's, one of the best steakhouses in the country. Pricey, but amazing.
Which part of New York are you in?
I live on the LES, work in Ridgewood, Bergen Beach, Long Island City, and a few other places.
Ah, cool. I don't spend much time in that area, but I'm pretty well acquainted with it. Have you lived in New York for a long time?
I've been living in the city proper for 15 years (sort of - for a number of years, I was on the road with NYC as my base), but grew up just north in Westchester.
