If a Democrat is clearly going to win the election in 2016, do you think the Democrats will take back the Senate and the House along with winning the presidency?

If the liberals takeover the government again, well we all know what happened last time that happened, Obummer Care . . . nuff said.

So gerrymandering is okay if it is aimed at people you disagree with?

tsd, you have mixed up your polls, this one is about liberals taking over the government in 2016 not gerrymandering . . .

I'm not mixed up. The reason I believe it will be very hard for Dems to take back the House is because of gerrymandering. Also, you haven't answered my question: Is gerrymandering okay when it is against people from the opposite party as you?

Both political parties in every state participate in gerrymandering, that's politics, Personally I disagree with the process.

That's true. At least to my ears, the tone of your original comment implied that gerrymandering was appropriate as long as it was aimed at keeping Dems out of power. Agreed, though. Gerrymandering is never acceptable no matter who's doing it.

So you assumed from my original response, making assumptions goes on a lot in SoH and leads to arguments instead of discussions . . .

I'm sorry I made the assumption, and that was wrong, but I don't think we were arguing. I was just asking you a question.

Gerrymandering will make taking the House back difficult even with a strong Dem turnout.

They will win presidency, but the sentate I don't think so

I wouldn't put the Senate out of reach, but not the house because of the gerrymandering.

Maybe the senate but no the house

Maybe the Senate, but, unless Republican turnout is horrible, then it will be very hard to take back the house.

That will be true for decades, unless after a census count some miracle occurs and the revised districts are made up of rectangles only.

Not. Gonna. Happen.

I agree. Gerrymandering is a disgrace.

*Cough* Bernie would get so many typically not voting progressives to show up and vote that I bet Democrats could take back one and close the gap significantly in the House

Good point Hardincz. Yet another reason to support Bernie and not Hillary.
