Have you looked a word up in the dictionary within the past week?
Yesterday I looked up "omen"
Yep, earlier today I looked up a word that appeared in one of my word scramble puzzles: manumit. It's a verb that means giving freedom to a slave.
Yes I use them a lot to find the exact meaning of a word. Considering my job is writing intensive, knowing the exact meaning vs intent is important.
If by Dictionary, you mean, to find the definition of a word, by whatever means. Then twice just writing this comment.
My hobby is languages. Dictionaries are my life. 😊
I do almost daily. On my phone of course. I do word puzzles every day and I need to make sure if spelling or if some letters really are words.
I read a lot of technical manuals.
Often having a general understanding of a word does not suffice a very technical reading; so I often look up words to get their exact meaning.
A few a day, either online directly or when reading on the Kindle.
Online all the time.
I'm a big fan of how simple Apple has made it to look up words on their devices. I never cared to look up words before, but now find that I'm doing it constantly.
I agree fully. I love it - just a click away.
Oh yes, that's how you build your lexicon.
Your lexicon?, oh let me look that up!!!
I'm always looking stuff up. Knowledge is power!
Many, many times.
I look words up because I can't spell very well.
Well yes that too and me too. Lol.
Assuming online dictionaries count, yes. I always find myself second guessing spellings or definitions of words and I like to be 100% sure I am using them correctly.
