You walk out of a store to see someone sitting on the hood of your car with their drink next to them. Is this something you'd find inconsiderate or rude?
I would definitely freak out on them.
I better not find somebody sitting on my Lexus drinking. They wouldn't be too happy when I knock them off.
If it's in my driveway i have a problem, if it's in like a parking lot or something I would just ask nicely for him/her to get off, if they don't get off if they don't get off then we have a problem...
I was going to write a rant about everyone making a big deal about sitting on the car, until I realized they're most likely imagining this happening at their house. I was thinking about it happening in apartments that where in ghettoish areas where
There was a whole line of cars in front of your apartment and they just happened to be sitting on yours. I wouldn't take it disrespectfully then, and I might even let it slide in a public area, but in a house where the only car there is mine, yeah,
I probably wouldn't take to kindly to it. I would, however, react as if I WERE in the ghetto and they just happened to be sitting on my car.
I don't care where my car is, if you're touching it, that needs to stop or we have a problem
I wouldn't like this at all.
Yes and once this asshat is out of office we'll repair it and build it stronger.
INGE if it were you sitting there, not rude.
However, if the drink was a Starbucks instead of Dunkin.....rude.
Haha, you know it would be a starbucks!
I'd like to say I'd handle it well....but, I probably wont.
I wouldn't consider it rude. Actually happened to my brother's car when a couple of years back. A group of kids were sitting on our car after coming back from playing some b-ball at a park, they saw us walking towards the car and got off
They were pretty nice complimenting the car and we stayed and talked with them for a little while.
I'd drive off fast....with them on it
There would be words
So straight to the point and not defensive at all. Almost passive aggressive. I love it
I'd pull my junk out and start running that them screaming strange phrases in Klingon. If they didn't move, I'd start peeing all over the hood of my car, laughing manically.
Oh dear god lol
I think it'd work.
I'll be seeing you in the looney bin very soon.
It takes a hell of a lot of effort to climb up on the hood of my F250. That's blatant disrespect. I'd help him/her off my hood with a Tazer....
Unfortunately for me, I have a tiny car so even if you try to lean on it, your ass is fully on the hood. :/
Still, what kind of a$$hat thinks that sitting on someone else's vehicle is ok?
I'd think it was my brother, but he's dead.
Get the F off my car!
Sitting yes leaning I don't care
It depends on their demeanor. If they seem to be damaging the car, very annoyed and angry. If they simply wanted a seat and sat down, sure, no problem, so long as they move so I can get where I need to be.
Oh, and if the cup is like metal that could scratch it up I'd be a little more hostile. I'd rather they didn't damage it
Slightly annoyed, but a simple "really bro?" should resolve it quick and easy.
That's so SoCal.. "Really bro" lol.
If there is any possible way to quietly get in the car and abruptly back out from under their incredibly rude asses, dropping them like a sack of taters onto the greasy asphalt, I would. They are vermin, so disrespectful as to have no value at all.
Ooo, interesting. If they got hurt, should the driver be liable?
No. I'd treat it as a case of them being really bad at walking. So bad in fact that they wound up briefly sitting on the hood of someone else's car (something no one would ever do on purpose) as they stumbled and fell to the pavement in slow motion.
If it looked like they may have gotten hurt, just pull fwd and finish the job.
What's wrong with North Dakota?
It's only one vote. One stupid person on North Dakota.
Yea, it wouldn't be a pleasant conversation.
Oh damn! I didn't know it got on peoples nerves so much. In Egypt it's a very natural occurrence but when people see the owner approaching they just get off and walk away no hard feelings
why would they sit on the hood???
To be honest I'm not entirely sure but it could he something to do with the overwhelming number of cars around and the lack of places to sit in some areas, so it's become a thing I guess
It's happened to me before and I don't say anything, I just physically remove them as rudely as possible.
Surprised at how many people would respond with rage. I really wouldn't mind if there was no damage. You felt like sitting and saw a seat. It's a little weird but I wouldn't care.
I think it's because people assume it would result in a dented hood.
"You felt like sitting and saw a seat."
My car hood is not a seat!
Well I meant "seat" as a place where you physically could sit down. Not necessarily a place you should be sitting
Ok, let me rephrase that. My car hood is my private property.
Inconsiderate, absolutely (unless it was someone I knew and they were waiting for me, or it was someone who had to stop suddenly for reasons). But still not a big deal.
Get the fuck off my car asshole!!
Of course I would!
I'd say leave or I'll leave a shoe print up your ass.
"Shoe print up your ass" made me lol 😂
I aim to please.
I've never seen that happen, but I would be extremely unhappy.
I would ask them if they wanted to voluntarily get off my car or if they would like for me to help them off?
You're very polite. I would probably huck my slurpee at them.
Not for long.
I don't want butt dents, button scratches, stranger juice or whatever else on my car. Not ok at all.
stranger juice 😁😁
Very strange. I think I'd say, "Um excuse me, I think you're on the wrong car." ... Id like to give them the benefit of the doubt that they meant to sit on their own car, that might look similar to mine.
I can hardly believe the stories like this, people sitting on the hood of people's cars, or opening up the pack up pickups to sit on them, or even worse, actually sitting in the car of convertibles, jeeps, or on motorcycles.
Are they cute 😂
That's true. Unless its a super hot woman in a bikini drinking a beer I'd be ok with it. As long as she didn't damage my car.
I would flip my shit.
I might just pay someone and watch the awesomeness unfold... Going full KatG on them! That method, as we both know, gets shit done!
I guess it's my "intimidation" factor that really helps...lol Don't mess with me...I'm a badass 😂😂
i'd be all like "whats your damage? this aint yours fool!" and start beating on them with my baby gap bag.
Bahaha baby GAP bag 😂😂😂
The baby GAP bag alone really makes the image, doesn't it?
I'd be a bit frightened.
Me too. Most likely they are delinquents looking for trouble if they are that disrespectful.
I'd say that's horribly inconsiderate! Please say that this didn't just happen to you?
Thats incredibly rude! Id confront them. Spill their drink on the ground if they dont back down lol
I wouldn't care if someone set their drink on my car.
I don't want someone that I don't know sitting on my car.
Unless I know the person & we're cool like that, it's very rude!
This user is currently being ignored
Who wouldn't find this inconsiderate? I'd have a big problem if I saw someone sitting on my car. 😡
Rude, inappropriate, and surprisingly common here.
Just happened to me. I was shocked.
I bet. What did you do?
My boyfriend asked what are you doing, I wouldn't do that to your car. That's rude. He got called an ass.
Wow. What a jerk. Sorry that happened.
It was three women about my age. Two of them were apologetic, the other one would quit running her mouth.
That's awful. People can definitely be so rude and inappropriate. These things sometimes just leave me shaking my head.
Inge-i know you're a huge Dr Who fan, so I thought I'd share the link
Very much so. I don't sit on my own car and I wouldn't want anyone else to. A car is an important, expensive asset and people need to be respectful of that.
It's your private property so it could be more than rude.
