Is your name (first or last) often mispronounced?
My own Grandpa can't say my last name right. 😂😳
I have a really easy name (first and last). Occasionally my last name is mispronounced slightly.
My parents gave my sister and I easy names because they had unusual first names.
People often struggle with my last name, which blows my mind. It's 5 letters. It is pronounced exactly how it looks. It is spelled exactly as it sounds. I don't understand at all.
Last name is so often, that I often fail to respond to the way it's supposed to be pronounced.
Never. It's not overly common as a name, but everyone who speaks English knows it.
Well...that's my first name, anyway. My last name is frequently mispronounced unless the person is from the northeast.
Yes!! All the time! People who have known me for years still get it wrong!
Not my first name. My last name on the other hand...people never get it right. Which is totally understandable because I know it is spelled a little odd. If it wasn't my last name, I would probably mispronounce it too.
Yes, my first name is Stephen.
Most people pronounce it Steven, how does a pH have the sound of a V? Do you pick up your's cell Vone; do you go to the Vysician; or get your drugs from the Varmacy. Stephen should sound like Stefan. 😁😇
Kenna gets mispronounced so often, it's ridiculous... Simple rules of English people, come on!
I often get called Rick.
My standard answer is that it's better than Prick - which I also get called occasionally.
Yes, my first name is often mispronounced. I understand why it happens, but it's still annoying.
My last name is almost always mispronounced.
LOL. Yep, no one gets that right. Lucky you, you just have one. 😊
