Good Friday morning how has your week gone? My granddaughter did fine with her tonsil surgery although she's in a lot of pain. One of my very dear friends here got published! I'm so proud of him. It is for him to share.
Glad she did so well!
Found out dilating and such started... Eek/yay! Baby brother got married today too. Surprise wedding to the family, no one is too happy about it but hey, it's his choice to make. Now we have friends over for the weekend.
It been a peaceful week, too rainy to get outside much. My husband treated me to a lovely new bracelet, and I treated him to a new iPod. No special occasion. The only bad thing was a battle with pantry moths - they don't have a chance.
This week I filled in for our Bookkeeper that went to Universal Studios
I am basically retired and that was too much like a real job
I'm very happy that this week is over
Back to my cashier job...... 😄
Yep, found out I got a short story accepted into an anthology this week. Usually it's a long string of rejection letters so that was nice :) I also am getting a logic puzzle published in a games magazine I subscribe too.
Pretty good week, although I'm exhausted. I'm calling this my single parent summer with hubs traveling so much. On the plus side I've been reading when the kids go down, that's been great!
It's been a good week here. We had fun celebrating Pioneer Day last weekend and we've had amazing weather this week. It's so fun to go outside in the summer without turning into a sweaty, sticky mess!
Projects- washed and waxed three cars, camp trailer and boat- hands a bit worn- worst project was cleaning the 25 ft drier vent-total clogged and back up with water- leaked thru ceiling- poor design, used plumbing auger and was able to clear it-😁
Must have taken it down, saw apology, but didn't see offensive statement. I hope folks learn to be nice- we can disagree and be naughty without being over the top, right Tops? 😁
We went to Dallas or a gun to take care of my grandson why his sister was having surgery. We went on a lot of walks. Sister did very well but was in a lot of pain. He thought he would climb all over sister and drink her water and smoothie.
So grandpa and I took him for another walk to the local park. Let him for about 45 minutes. And we got back grandma gave him a bath and he was ready for bed. My son and his wife are for so grateful for us. We also did a Dairy Queen run.
It's the first time my granddaughter really ate after her surgery. Since then we got home I've been dehydrating food like crazy. We have a apple tree. I also got some cherries for Christmas baking. So far this month I have walked 120 miles.
I couldn't eat pudding until yesterday. First day I went without food for over 24 hours until i finally managed a popsicle, and then i ate around 8 of them
