I want to be a super fan but the reality is disappointment. 😔
It is more of a love hate relationship. Like right now I hate it because I can't seem to get the upgrade to Windows 10. WTF. I don't know if I should be mad as Microsoft or Asus though.
Make sure you've downloaded ALL previous updates for windows 8.1.
This needs more than yes or no! Yes I like Microsoft software for my of but Microsoft 8 wasn't that great and I'm a ps4 user over an Xbox so really yes they are good and also not so great
I switched to apple after getting an iPhone in 2009. Works much better and never have to worry about getting my computer hijacked again - horrible experience.
If your computer gets "Hijacked" that is your own fault for not taking better precautions against viruses.
@Bog I am now, with my Mac. No issues. No weird pop-ups, spyware crap that auto-installs or snoops, or constantly worrying about some other windows issues that can get hacked. Windows is dangerous for the normal everyday person. I rather not deal.
We have a love/hate relationship. I like Xbox. I like Microsoft office most of the time. And I like Windows 7.
Where's the hate?
I hate their prices. I hate windows 8 (haven't seen windows 10 yet). I don't really care for how insecure windows is compared to apple products
not a fan but have used their products starting with ms-dos ( I forget what version ... 2? 3? )
I hate hate hate the company but I like their products
Only use windows OS. Hate anything else Microsoft.
Mostly alright but I dislike XBox.
Lots of Microsoft fans here. Maybe Tony will build a Windows Universal App. It will be a billion person market within three years.
Moved most of my stuff to Google then decided to move back to MS. I'm hoping 10 takes off on mobile and I will jump to WP from android.
The Lumia 950 gets released soon. The specs are amazing and Windows mobile works well. App developers will no longer ignore the Windows platform.
I've never been anything resembling a fan. I think there was one piece of MS software I actually liked once, but it sure wasn't Windows or Office. I can't even remember what it was, now.
Microsoft all the way. The Xboxes are all home runs.
If it can fit in my pocket (phone, watch, etc), I prefer Apple. Larger than that and I prefer PC/Windows.
I tend to view Mac like an automatic and Windows like a manual. My phone I just need to work. My computer I want the control. :)
But since I realized I didn't precisely answer the question, I like Microsoft just fine.
I prefer Mac when it comes to computers but I voted yes because I love my Xbox.
I was a fan of their software around the time of office 2007 and windows 7, I don't like the interfaces on windows 8 and office. The menu path to save in the newer offices make no sense, why do I go into a completely new screen?
Once we get past Windows 8 anyway. Yuck.
I don't much care for the OS, but Office isn't bad. I use LibreOffice on my own computer, but i like the VBA route for Excel. I said "not a fan" because I don't feel strongly about it overall. It has great features, but it's limiting.
I'd rather have a Mac, but there's nothing wrong with Windows.
It's not that I'm NOT a fan. As far as Microsoft is concerned, I'm not a hater, I'm an appreciater! I reserve "Fan" status, however, for Mac! All Mac, all the time!😃
My desktops have always been pc's, probably because I'm cheap.
I love windows PC's
I like Microsoft office, but not really a fan of their OS
Microsoft office has worked well.
I really enjoy their Mac 2016 update
That is what my Facebook profile says 😂😂😂😂
Not really a fan or not a fan, but I've enjoyed using their OSs and productivity and entertainment software over the years. It isn't so much that Microsoft is that great as it is that there hasn't ever been a true competitor in software.
Did you download Windows 10 today?
Not yet. I was doing a routine update earlier today on my laptop (1 important, 1 optional) and the message popped up that my Windows 10 upgrade was ready for download, but I haven't found it yet. I want to clone the drive before upgrading anyway.
Some of our more brave developers took the plunge today. I am not ready to move my device to it.
I'll clone the laptop drive then dip a toe in, since we don't use it that often. I'm not upgrading the desktops we use every day until I'm comfortable we won't give up too much. 8.1 has really been working well for us.
