I've made pies with them. Love wild blackberry pie.

It's an annual war I wage against those sob's. I'm winning for now, but they will eventually feast on my corpse.

Lol. I have to try hard to get them to grow here.

This summer was the best in many years for blackberries here. Ate some, cooked some, drank some blackberry wine. All is fine.

I say yep, but since I haven't pick them since I was a kid, I am just guessing. My favorite spots are gone.

No. At least I haven't seen any in the open spaces around town, or up on the foothills in my daughter's neighborhood. And even if they were up there, I think the bears & other critters would get most of them. I remember picking

There are, but I have thornless blackberry bushes in my backyard.

I wish I could say the same about the thornless... I get attacked by the thorned variety every time I ride. They grow so fast that it's pretty much unavoidable.

They were a birthday present from my mom several years ago.

Are they good? Sounds interesting

Delicious, but very tempermental. The pinot noir of berry. They have about a eight hour span where they're perfect. Before, they're sour, after they're dry. Like a concord grape, but milder. They were a volunteer. Hooray for bird poop!

If you have a spare patch of ground, I'd be willing to send some dried berries your way. You could even throw them near the blackberries. PM me if you're interested.

Not here... These are what you would buy at the store and are safe to eat. People have been out in droves pricking them.

alkie, what could you be talking about? No, really, what do you think a blackberry looks like?

Mark3

Here's a picture. In the wild they typically range from 1/2 inch to 1 1/4 inch.
Not trying to be a wise guy, but really curious.

Probably more helpful if I included the link so:
