Janis suffered almost her entire life. In that respect, Winehouse had more to live for. I picked Janis because I love her music so much. Biased.

I'm a super fan of Janis's music. I grew up hearing stories from my parents & listening to her music. ❤️

and Amy suffered most of her life as well, from age 12 she had issues that gatewayed into her addictions. as is the story with most tragic losses, unfortunately.

in terms of musical contributions, many would disagree with you.
in terms of of human empathy towards the struggle of drug & alcohol addiction, many would also disagree with you.

They both had a lot of pain.

I actually think Amy's situation was more tragic. She asked for help, could've gotten help & her father told her not to. And she died. And she was the first "train wreck" to have her life blasted on this new social media platform.

Maybe we just don't know as much about Janis's every move bc media then was not like it is in this century? idk. but both are terrible losses.

i was referencing her father, the boyfriend could have as well? Her producer & friends had her set up for rehab & her father told her not to go. So that gave her an out, and she didn't go.
